Actor

Deep Character Preparation. Precise Execution.

A character is not just a script; it is a mental and physical transformation. In collaboration with my acting coach, Christine Kostropetsch, I develop each role through months of intensive preparation—ensuring that every emotion and motive is grounded in truth.

Whether it is the deceptive charisma of a manipulative editor-in-chief or the silent strength of a protective father, I bring a disciplined work ethic from the boardroom to the set. I don’t just play a role; I inhabit a life.

The 4 Pillars

01
Multilingual Mastery

Native German. Fluent Russian. Fluent English. I don't just speak these languages; I act in them. My experience ranges from performing on international sets in Moscow to lead-role dubbing (e.g., Blindazh). I deliver emotional consistency, no matter the language of the script.

02
Character Range

I specialize in characters of authority and depth. My range covers the reliable, protective father and the stoic professional, but extends to the charismatic antagonist and the manipulative strategist. Deep preparation allows me to inhabit the grey areas of human nature.

03
Set Ethics & Physicality

No drama off-camera. I bring the work ethic of a CEO to the film set. With a background in competitive martial arts (Karate/ Kickboxing), horse riding skills, and proficient firearms training, I am prepared for physically demanding roles and high-pressure environments. Whether in a modern boardroom or a historical saddle: Reliability is my baseline.

04
Global Mobility

Based in Berlin, Moscow, and Podgorica. I am a local operator in multiple territories, familiar with the logistical and cultural nuances of international co-productions. My mobility is not just a status; it’s an asset for productions navigating diverse locations.

Why Every Pro Needs a Coach: My professional acting training with Christine Kostropetsch In my career as an actor, I often encounter colleagues who roll their eyes when I mention that I work regularly with a coach. “I studied acting,” they say, or: “I’m good enough, I know how it’s

Preparation is my foundation. I work intensely with my acting coach, Christine Kostropetsch (Link to Profile), to develop a deep, psychological understanding of every character. Whether it’s a charismatic antagonist or a stoic protector, the role is fully formed before I step onto the set.

I am drawn to the friction of history. My goal is to portray a figure in a historical epic—specifically a Teutonic Knight. They were the elite of their time, combining sophisticated organization with uncompromising combat skills. To bring such a legendary, disciplined character to life—utilizing my skills in horse riding and martial arts—is the ultimate challenge I am looking for.

It’s both. For me, wood chopping is the ultimate "Outdoor Gym"—far superior to any repetitive workout in a sterile environment. Whether it's sun, rain, or snow at my house in Montenegro: the focus isn't on counting reps, but on the singular goal of splitting the log.

It’s a practice that grounds me and builds raw, functional strength. There’s something meditative and primal about working with wood; studies even suggest it lowers stress while naturally boosting testosterone. It’s about being "the real deal" on screen. If a script calls for a character who knows his way around a forest or a blade, I don’t need a double—I bring the experience with me.

Martial arts is my foundation for discipline and spatial awareness. It started in my childhood with Judo and Wrestling, followed by Kickboxing in Berlin-Spandau—where I even had the chance to train under the six-time world champion Michael Kuhr.

But my most formative experience was discovering Kyokushin Karate in St. Petersburg. I remember being drawn into a former church building that had been converted into a dojo; the intensity of the kiai (shouts) echoing through the hall was magnetic. Since then, I’ve trained alternatingly in St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Berlin. This background allows me to perform complex fight choreography with precision and maintain a high level of physical presence on set. I don’t just mimic movements; I understand the spirit behind the strike. "Commitment to the craft means commitment to the body.

I train every day to stay sharp and ready for any physical challenge. You can find some of my latest martial arts workouts and on-set action on my Instagram @rowephilipp

It began with the desire to understand storytelling from the inside. I started with screenwriting, which led me to professional acting training to better understand the soul of a character. What was meant to be a tool for self-improvement turned into a passion when a director cast me for my first major film. Since then, I have performed in over 10 cinema productions.

In the Russian market, I am represented by my agent Ekaterina (Link to Agency). For European and international productions outside of Russia, I am currently available for direct inquiries and collaboration.

I excel in roles that require a high degree of internal conflict or authority. My core competence lies in portraying figures who must maintain a calm exterior while navigating complex moral or strategic dilemmas—from high-ranking executives to stoic defenders.

I am 180 cm tall, athletic, and offer high physical resilience. My technical skills include competitive martial arts (Karate/ Kickboxing), horse riding, and proficient firearms training. I am fully mobile between my bases in Berlin, Moscow, and Podgorica.

Berlin-Spandau is where my grit comes from. Growing up there in the 90s meant learning resilience early on. Training at legendary local gyms like Satori (later Randori) and getting my first lessons from Spandau icon and world champion Michael Kuhr gave me a "no-nonsense" attitude. This Berlin DNA is the anchor for my discipline—whether I’m navigating a complex business deal or a high-pressure film set. It’s about being direct, reliable, and staying grounded, no matter how international the environment becomes.

Absolutely. My relationship with the water is deeply rooted in my biography and reflects my own journey through history. It began on the Beetzsee and the Havel in Brandenburg. Sailing with my father back in the GDR was more than just a sport; it was an early experience of freedom and a deep longing for the vast, open world beyond the borders of that time.

After moving to West Berlin, I grew up in Spandau, one of the city’s premier water sports hubs. There, I spent years mastering canoeing and rowing, grounded in the discipline of local clubs. This Berlin DNA remains the anchor for my physical endurance.

Later, my passion led me to the coasts of Tenerife and the Baltic Sea for surfing and windsurfing. I even continued windsurfing during my years in Moscow—braving the elements in an extremely thick wetsuit. For a production, this means I am completely at home on the water. Whether it’s a sailing yacht, a rowing boat, or a surfboard: I bring the technical skills and the grit to handle it without a double.
